Executive Board GreetingsPRESIDENT NOTE FROM THE PRESIDENT… Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season with family and friends and were able to create some great memories. It seems to have flown by! Thanks to all of you for your continued support of the PTA. The PTA had a great 2009! Here are some of our highlights:
I am looking forward to 2010! If you have any comments or ideas you would like to share with the PTA Board or myself, please contact us at our PTA website, www.rusticoakpta.org. I would like
to thank all of the members of the PTA Board. Many of you are
behind the scenes doing what you do best. I appreciate your service
and attitude to make every child’s dream a reality. VICE PRESIDENT Welcome to all the new families and welcome back to all those familiar faces! Summer went by fast and now we are off to a great start. My name is Edna Darby and I am the PTA Vice President for the 2008-2009 school year. I currently have a son who is a first grader and a daughter that is in Life Skills and in the fourth grade. I hope that this school year brings you all a lot of fun and exciting experiences here at Rustic Oak. The PTA is formed by parents and teachers like all of you, to help with EVERY child's learning environment. We do our best to alleviate some of the "extras" that the teachers have to make their time well spent with each student in their classroom. We are always looking for volunteers that have 5 minutes to hours of time to help. We are accepting full and part-time employed and at-home parents to come and volunteer. You can also volunteer from home or come to our VIP room. Please make every effort to come by and see what a difference YOU can make for Rustic this year. Thank YOU for your continued support! HISTORIAN Hello, my name is Lisa Poehler and I am the Historian for the PTA. This year I would love to make the PTA scrapbook as memorable as possible for Rustic Oak Elementary. As events occur during the year, I would appreciate any pictures that you would like to forward me so that I could use in them in the scrapbook. Let's make memories together for the 08-09 school year.
