The Nature Center was created to engage students in hands-on learning about nature.  The Center has fruit bearing trees, garden boxes, wildflowers, native trees and bushes, bird's nests, compost bins, and a pond.  Our goal, as a committee, is to maintain the Center, prepare the garden boxes for planting by students, and assist with opportunities for student interaction. 

Last year's projects for improvement were preparing 2 garden boxes for organic vegetables, and cleaning out the compost bins and starting new compost.  A lesson in composting and hands-on demonstration was given with great success!  This year's project for improvement will be the pond.  We will also be decorating the Center for the Fall Festival!
